DEPARTMENT The strategic development of our global business
has led to the creation of international teams in each TNS market,
supported by 4 regional centres for North America, Latin America, Asia
Pacific and Europe. Our European Team is based in
Brussels/London and comprises a team of enthusiastic executives from six
countries, reflecting the international nature of our work. Our focus
is on the proposal stage, across global, continuous and ad hoc proposals
for clients across the different TNS sectors. The work is rewarding,
exciting and demands a high level of commitment. Although
currently the work involves only the proposal process, the work is
varied in terms of approach - we work on a mix of qualitative and
quantitative, continuous and ad hoc, business-to-business and consumer.
Our work covers both European and Global markets and we frequently
support colleagues on ‘TNS Global Key Accounts’ which are some of the
largest and most high profile global programmes at TNS worldwide.
PURPOSE
OF THE ROLE
This is an important
initiative for TNS and a number of exciting opportunities have arisen as a
result. To help achieve our aims we are
looking to increase the European team, who are responsible
for providing day-to-day support to the European and Global business on International
processes and costings.
MAIN
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collect costings for proposals liaising with TNS markets and external
suppliers
- Prepare central costings and estimates
- International contact person responsible for supporting the business in
selling multi-country projects
- Advise internal clients on methodologies, processes and procedures in
relation to MCP activity
- Share information and best practise with the internal clients
- Building central expertise on European and Worldwide capabilities
- Simplifying the costing process inside Europe
and between regions
- Develop centralised tools and databases to assist the global group with
proposals
- Longer-term the team will also play a role in the co-ordination of
multi-country projects
SKILLS
REQUIRED
The
ideal candidate will possess some of the following qualities:
- At least 2 years experience in Market and Opinion Research
- A good understanding of different research methodologies
- Some experience of working on international projects
- Must be numerate and detailed orientated
- Good organisational and influencing skills
- Excellent communication skills – able to work effectively in a
multi-cultural environment.
- Energy, enthusiasm, a sense of humour, desire to succeed and to help
others to do so as well.
- Good MS Excel skills plus should be keen to learn new applications
- Fluent in English with another major European language an advantage but
not essential
